Steve from Stranger Things and Jean-Ralphio Explore Father-Son Connection on Corden

f you are a sentient being with some

sort of ocular organ and Internet access, chances are you’re aware of one of this past summer’s greatest tempests in a teapot: the pervasive, show-spanning fan theory that Steve Harrington of Netflix’s Stranger Things (played by Joe Keery) is actually the father of Jean-Ralphio from NBC’s late Parks and Recreation (played by Ben Schwartz). It’s an argument based pretty much solely on the fact that a) both shows are set in Indiana, Stranger Things in the 80s and Parks in the aughts, and b) Schwartz and Keery bear a passing resemblance to one another. But unlike many things that pop up online, stir up social media, and quickly recede into the ether, this one has proven to have some serious legs. Just call it the Harambe of TV memes.
